Moving to Belleville in 2012 because of the military, Mike found his passion for homebrewing. He soon met and joined in the local home brewing community, including various clubs, homebrew shops, and other homebrewers, of course. Though Mike dreamed of opening up a brewery, it took years to actually make it a reality.

After Jeremy Hall opened Down The Hall Homebrew shop, he and Mike spent hours and hours discussing a brewery and what that would look like in downtown Belleville. They figured they’d have to “Shoehorn” something in, considering the building that the homebrew store was in at the time. Then came 225 E. Main St.

The building had so much promise and potential, even the wives couldn’t deny it, and so the journey began. It took over a year to demo, design, build up and brew the first beers. Then on December 23, 2022, the dream became a reality!
